As a Copy Editor you will support a team of content managers, helping to accelerate the publishing pipeline of high-quality, engaging marketing content.
Proofread and edit all types of content - eguides, blog articles, whitepapers, case studies, product brochures, infographics, web copy, etc.
Ensure content is grammatically correct, clear, accurate and concise while adhering to in-house style guidelines.
Suggest ways to improve content so it is compelling and engaging, and follows a logical narrative that makes it easy to follow.
Give constructive feedback to the content team.
Proactively help improve processes, develop standards, and document them for the team.
Help develop an editorial style guide.
Maintain the content marketing calendar.
Assist in meeting overarching content goals by handling other writing, editing, and project tasks, as assigned.
Coordinate with writers, designers, and SMEs as needed to complete projects.
2-3 years of writing and editing experience for a B2B company.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline.
Excellent command of the English language and ability to apply rules of grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, etc.
Superior line editing, copyediting, writing and proofing skills.
Sound understanding of best practices in writing B2B content for web, print, and social.
A demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, and clarity.
Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-direction, and drive.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Familiarity with SEO fundamentals.
